For a bike or Scooty rental at Janatha Riders in Vizag, bring original hard copies of your Aadhaar card and driving licence. PAN cards are not accepted. Confirm the vehicle and your rental dates before travelling to our location, so your visit starts with the documents and booking details already agreed.
This guide explains our rental requirements, the questions to ask about the document deposit, and the practical checks to make before your rental begins.
The documents to bring
- Original Aadhaar card: bring the hard copy requested for your rental.
- Original driving licence: bring the hard copy and check its validity before booking.
- Your agreed booking details: keep the vehicle name, rental start time, return time and quoted rental amount easy to find.
A photograph of a document on your phone is not the original hard copy we ask you to bring. If you cannot bring either original, contact us before making the journey rather than assuming another document will be accepted. Do not substitute a PAN card for Aadhaar.
You can ask document questions while arranging your rental through the Railway Station Road enquiry form. The form sends your selected vehicle and dates to WhatsApp; it does not ask you to upload identity documents.
Check the vehicle class on your driving licence
Checking that you have a driving licence is only the first step. Check the vehicle class shown on it as well. The official Parivahan licence FAQ distinguishes motorcycles with gear (MCWG) from motorcycles without gear (MCWOG), and notes that vehicle categories are subject to state jurisdiction.
Do not assume a licence for one vehicle class covers every rental option. If your entitlement is unclear, check with the transport authority before booking. Tell Janatha Riders which model you intend to rent, rather than asking only for “a bike”; our list includes Scooty models as well as motorcycles.
Ask about the original-document deposit
At Janatha Riders, an original document is held as the deposit, and rental payment is taken for the agreed rental period. Before confirming your booking, ask which original document will be retained and how and when it will be returned. Those arrangements should be clear to you before the rental starts.
If you need to use that original document during the rental, mention this in advance. Avoid leaving the question until you are ready to take the vehicle. Agree the deposit arrangements directly with us rather than relying on another rental company's terms.
Agree your rental start and return time
Our rental period is 24 hours from the time you take the vehicle. For example, a rental starting at 10am runs to 10am the following day. Agree the actual start and return time when booking; choosing dates on the website alone does not confirm the rental.
Late returns are chargeable. Ask about the applicable charge before your rental starts, especially if you are planning around a train, flight or an early departure. Helmets are provided with the rental. Fuel is your responsibility, so allow for a fuel stop as part of your plans.
A short checklist before you leave
- Confirm the model, daily rate and availability for your dates.
- Pack your original Aadhaar card and driving licence.
- Clarify the original-document deposit and return arrangements.
- Save the agreed rental start and return time, including the late-return terms.
- Open the directions to Janatha Riders and plan your journey to Kalyan Estates, Railway Station Road, Dwaraka Nagar.
If something is still unclear, call +91 63022 55655 before visiting. A short conversation about documents and dates is more useful than arriving with an assumption that delays your rental.
