Activa, Dio, Fascino or a motorcycle: which should you rent?

The most useful starting point is the vehicle you can ride confidently, followed by the daily rental price. At Janatha Riders in Vizag, Activa and Dio are ₹400/day, Yamaha Fascino is ₹600/day, and Yamaha FZ and Pulsar are ₹800/day. A higher price does not automatically make a vehicle a better choice for your plans.

Use this guide to narrow the choice, then confirm the specific vehicle available for your dates. Exact model years and variants have not been listed, so do not assume a rental has every feature shown on a manufacturer's latest product page.

Compare the daily rental prices first

Each rental day is 24 hours from the rental start time. Fuel is your responsibility; confirm vehicle availability before booking.

Activa and Dio have the same daily rental rate, so the decision between them can be about familiarity and fit rather than price. Fascino costs ₹200 more per day than either of those options. Yamaha FZ and Pulsar share the motorcycle rate of ₹800/day.

For two 24-hour rental periods, those published rates work out to ₹800 for Activa or Dio, ₹1,200 for Fascino, or ₹1,600 for FZ or Pulsar, before fuel or any applicable extra charges. Confirm the full booking amount and agreed return time directly.

Activa, Dio and Fascino: choosing a Scooty

If a Scooty is what you normally ride, start with that familiar format. Activa and Dio are the lower-priced options in our list. Fascino is another Scooty option if you already know the model or find it a better fit when checking the vehicle.

Automatic Scooty models simplify everyday riding by removing manual gear changes. Check the controls and equipment of the specific Activa, Dio or Fascino available for your dates, rather than assuming every version is the same.

Before deciding, check whether you can comfortably reach the ground and operate the controls. Ask about usable storage if you plan to carry a bag. Do not book on the assumption that a suitcase, a particular helmet or all your belongings will fit under the seat.

Yamaha FZ or Pulsar: choosing a motorcycle

FZ and Pulsar are the motorcycle options in our current rental list. They are worth considering if you are already comfortable riding motorcycles and prefer that type of vehicle. Both are ₹800/day, so the daily rate alone will not decide between them.

Ask which version is available and check the riding position, controls and how the vehicle feels at a standstill. Be honest about your experience with clutch and gear operation. A holiday rental is not a good reason to choose unfamiliar controls just because a motorcycle looks appealing in a photograph.

There is no universal “best bike for Vizag” in this list. Your experience, comfort with the specific vehicle and agreed rental arrangements matter more than a generic ranking.

Checks that matter more than a feature list

• Licence: check that your driving licence covers the vehicle you intend to ride.
• Comfort: check your reach to the ground, handlebar position and ease of using the brakes and controls.
• Vehicle condition: discuss existing marks and check lights, indicators, mirrors, tyres and brakes with the team before leaving.
• Fuel: you arrange and pay for your own fuel. Do not budget using an advertised mileage figure as a guarantee.
• Return: agree the start time, return time and late-return charge before the rental begins.

Bring original hard copies of your Aadhaar card and driving licence; PAN cards are not accepted. Confirm the document-deposit arrangements before your rental starts.

If you ride an Activa or Dio regularly and want the lower daily rate, ask for that familiar model first. If you prefer Fascino or usually ride an FZ or Pulsar, ask about that specific option rather than reserving a generic category.
